Separation Day Regatta
Saturday, June 13, 2009 9:00 - 3:00
First held in 1980, the Separation Day Regatta is an annual event held in conjunction with the festivities in Old New Castle, celebrating Delaware’s declaration of independence from England on June 15, 1776. Separation Day is a city-wide event that culminates with fireworks in the evening. Traditionally a “Thistle-only” regatta, the Club’s Separation Day Regatta is open to visiting Thistles as well as NCSC boats. Sterling silver perpetual trophies engraved with the names of the first place skipper and crew are displayed on the mantle of the club house.
